ESPN: Joe Dumars to resign after this season

From ESPN: “Pistons president Joe Dumars is expected to resign before his contract expires on July 1, league executives have told ESPN.com.”

The Rockets got some great news on Beverley’s injury, as it’s not as severe as previously thought

Patrick Beverley’s injury hurts Rockets, but isn’t devastating

The Houston Rockets are 49-23 at the moment, a record good enough for the No. 4 seed in the insanely competitive Western Conference, and — in all likelihood — will remain in that spot and will play the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1st round of the postseason. Of course this is assuming that nothing […]

Anderson was only able to play 22 games this season before going down with a brutal neck injury

Herniated disc officially costs Pelicans’ Ryan Anderson his season

When the then-New Orleans Hornets acquired Ryan Anderson via a sign-and-trade with the Magic in the 2012 offseason, they expected to get the sharpshooting power forward who blossomed into a star in his final year in Orlando. For the 2012-13 season, New Orleans got exactly that from him, as the former Nets draft pick scored […]

In the first game they officially played with Phil Jackson as their team president, the Knicks beat the Pacers. Pretty good start for P-Jax’s tenure.

With win over Pacers, Knicks’ streak improves to seven in a row as they look towards playoff push

Phil Jackson’s entire NBA career has been defined by winning, as noted by his 11 combined NBA championships as head coach of the Jordan Bulls and Shaq/Kobe Lakers. Now, as he is a member of the Knicks’ front office, he will look to bring that success to the Big Apple, and his team got off […]

Phil Jackson says Melo will in New York for years to come, even though he’s been rumored to leave in free agency

Phil Jackson: Carmelo Anthony isn’t leaving the Knicks when he becomes a free agent

One of the more intriguing off-court stories in the NBA this season has been the New York Knicks’ strange and eventually successful wooing of former Bulls and Lakers head coach Phil Jackson–who has won titles with both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant–out of retirement and into New York’s front office. Finally, a few days ago, […]

Andrew Bynum makes debut as Pacers snap losing skid

{youtube}DUk6d-9-UYQ{/youtube} Before tonight's home victory over the scuffling Boston Celtics, the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Pacers had lost four games in a row and were playing their worst basketball of the entire season. With the Miami Heat, holding the No. 2 seed in the East, creeping ever so closely to Indiana's lead in the conference, Indiana […]

Bobcats waive Ben Gordon, allowing contender to possibly pick up the veteran

Gordon hasn't played much for Charlotte this season, and clearly the Bobcats needed to rid themselves of his expiring deal The Bobcats, who are hanging onto a playoff spot in the weak Eastern Conference by a very thin thread, allowed LeBron James to score a career-high 61 points last night in a 124-107 drubbing at […]

76ers’ Evan Turner is on the trading block, again

It seems like Turner has been involved in trade talks for much of his Philly career. Now, with the 76ers in certifiable tank mode, he might actually be on the way out. As the NBA season winds down towards its February 20 trade deadline, more and more trade rumors get tossed around every day as […]

Phoenix Suns are emerging as a possible destination for Pau Gasol

With the Lakers struggling mightily in a tough West, Gasol–whose contract expires after this season–is suddenly expendable, and a contender like the Suns could use him The Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns both have had very different 2013-14 seasons then they were predicted to, one team in a bad way and another in a […]
