What can’t Spurs point guard Tony Parker do? He has won multiple NBA titles, been an all-star, married a model, and is worshiped like a god in his home country. Then there is this! While in France for an exhibition game, Parker decided to show off his range by making a behind-the-back, no-look, over the head, half […]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxGRcQ84gHw Can you believe media day for NBA teams kicks off this week? It feels like the 2013-2014 NBA season just ended yesterday. Recently, the Hornets (and their sweet new-look uniforms) held a media day photo shoot and from the looks of things, they had some fun. From Al Jefferson posing for the cameras, players […]
Charles Barkley will go down as one of the best the game of basketball has ever seen. For his size and stature, he scored at will, rebounded like someone 8-feet tall, an played with a ferocity the game had never seen. And although he never won an NBA title, he was inducted into the Basketball […]
Post by Erik Armenta. It must be the summer of Tim Duncan the way things are shaping up for the Spurs forward. First he will be featured in an upcoming “The Punisher” and now No. 21 is starring as himself in the latest commercial for “Black Jack Speed Shop,” the auto body shop he owns. Just like […]
He was part of the first wave of European players to make an impact in the NBA and now Peja Stojakovic’s jersey will be retired by the Kings.
Peja played 16 seasons in the NBA and was known for being one of the game’s most prolific outside shooters. He averaged 17 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot 40 percent from the 3-point line in his career.
Not only that, he was a three-time NBA All-Star: 2002, 2003, 2004, a 2-time NBA 3-Point Shootout Champion: 2002, 2003, ranked fourth in NBA history in career free-throw percentage at .895, ranked ninth in NBA history in 3-pointers made with 1,760, ranked seventh in NBA playoff history in free-throw percentage at .900, ranked 11th in NBA history in 3-pointers attempted with 4,392 and was the first player in NBA history to start a game off by scoring 20 consecutive points for his team.
Sacramento drafted Peja 14th overall in 1996. With the Kings, he averaged 18.3 points and five rebounds. He is Sacramento’s leader for 3-pointers made (1,070) and attempted (2,687) and free-throw percentage (.893).
As if Spurs’ Tim Duncan does not have enough accolades to his pro basketball resume, here comes this gem. Duncan is set to be featured in Marvel’s “The Punisher” comic book as a car mechanic (seeing how he owns “Black Jack Speed Shop” autobody shop in San Antonio) to “Frank Castle” aka “The Punisher.” And how […]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWVCuHxxeig I never heard of the Bradley League but apparently there’s one thing the players are really good at – dunking the ball with authority. With the new NBA season inching closer and closer, why not take time to enjoy a collection of nasty dunks to get you ready for the real deal come October. […]
Well this did not take long. By now everyone knows what is going on with the Hawks. Instead of dealing with a new season, they are dealing with allegations of racism among the team owner and general manager Danny Ferry. And now you can hear exactly what Ferry said (allegedly) in the audio below. Of course Ferry […]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iixq0Lc27Fw Team USA’s Kenneth Faried and Stephen Curry decided to have a little fun on the USA bench with a sit-down shoot out. But if you are thinking “Manimal” had a chance against Curry, one of the best shooters in the league, you will be sorely wrong.
Team USA got the win over Team Lithuania 96-68 but things were testy during the game. And at the center of it was DeMarcus Cousins. Yeah shocking right? During the game, Cousins and Jonas Valanciunas got tangled up when DeMarcus was soooooooo close to throwing a vicious punch at Jonas. It seems Cousins didn’t take to […]
It was thought to be another Team USA vs. Team Spain matchup for gold at the 2014 FIBA World Cup. Well so much for jumping to conclusions and dismissing other teams. Team France came into the tourney limping. No Tony Parker, Joakim Noah, Kevin Seraphin, Nando De Colo. They were counted out as legit threats […]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpXbA5WKN3c NBA 2K15 ratings are a big deal. In fact, they might be bigger than the game itself. Where a player ranks on this video game rating system gets fans talking. Did so-and-so get the right rating? How come someone got a bigger rating than this player? It definitely creates debate and now the upcoming […]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNBIVUeMrvU OK it must be getting a bit tiresome waiting for the new NBA season because Lakers’ Jeremy Lin is pranking people. Lin was honored by the folks at Madame Tussauds wax museum in San Francisco as a new wax figure was made in his likeness. Of course this gave Lin an opportunity to pretend he […]
How do you know it is officially the doldrums of the NBA offseason? This! Apparently the Mavs thought it be fun to put their newest player’s mug — Chandler Parsons — on the body of a Pokemon cartoon character. Enter the Cavs who did not want to be upstaged with their own version of Anderson Varejao‘s afro on […]
By now you heard of the departure of ESPN’s Tony Reali. He is off to bigger and better things but he got his start on ESPN as PTI’s “Stat Boy.” So who could ever fill Reali’s big shoes? How about 7-foot-7 former NBA center Gheorghe Muresan! Well done PTI!
