According to the Houston Chronicle, after four seasons with the Houston Rockets, coach Rick Adelman will no longer be pacing the sidelines of Houston’s Toyota Center.
The Rockets ended the season just above .500, with a final record of 43-39 and Adelman has seen several transitions in his time with the Rockets, going from a team led by Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming to trading Aaron Brooks this season and relying on Kevin Marin and Luis Scola.
Adelman enjoyed his best season with the Rockets in 2008-09 and were one win away from eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers from the playoffs.
According to the Chronicle, several current assistant coaches could be targeted to fill the open position in Houston.
Rockets assistant Elston Turner, Mavericks assistant Dwayne Casey, Spurs assitant Mike Budenjolzer and Celtics assistant Lawrence Frank were all mentioned.
