This clip Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is particularly touching. A young girl who lost her leg in an accident wants to play basketball. While meeting Katie Holloway, an athlete who also has a prosthesis, she was surprised by a meeting with Dwight Howard. You could see her light up. And honestly, I can’t imagine a better NBA star to meet a young girl in that situation than Dwight. For all the grief he gets for being too much of a big kid on the court, it’s that personality that makes him an amazing ambassador of the game.
