Rasheed Wallace is the master of trash talk

With the amount of microphones they put on the court these days, NBA viewers are subjected to a new level of intimacy with the players, coaches and even the refs. You get the occasional “F-Bomb,” some insight into coaching strategy and, best of all, some trash talk.

Rasheed Wallace has a big mouth, that’s nothing new, but he has an interesting way of getting inside his opponents’ heads. Rather than insult their mother, their shoes or even something as simple as a missed shot, Sheed goes with mispronouncing their name.

In the video, Aaron Afflalo misses the first of two free throws. This inspires Wallace to yell out, “Yeah Aflac!”

I can’t draw any connections between an insurance company and a missed free throw, so I just have to assume that Wallace thought the most suitable form of trash talk was to intentionally mispronounce Afflalo’s last name.

It’s hilarious to me how lethargically Sheed just strolls into the lane during the free throw, watches the ball bounce around the rim, and just yells out whatever is in his brain.

Wallace continues to be feisty, even in his golden years.
