Wizards fans says he taunted LeBron about his Mom and Delonte, then James got mad

Bob Moore is the name of the Washington Wizards fan who told NBCWashington of his exchange with LeBron James during a Miami Heat / Washington Wizards game recently.

ATLANTA, GA - FEBRUARY 12: LeBron James #6 of the Miami Heat waits for a free throw against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on February 12, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Here’s what Bob says he said to James, and how he said LeBron responded to him:

According to a report from NBCWashington.com, LeBron was alone in the backcourt when a Wizards fan made a derogatory comment about LeBron’s mother and NBA star Delonte West.

The fan, Bob Moore, told NBCWashington that LeBron told him, “The only reason you talk sh*t is because you know I can’t come off the court right now and beat your a*s. But if I had a free pass, I’d kick your a*s right now.”

Moore told NBCWashignton’s Sarah Kogod he responded, “I’m right here baby. Let’s go” At that point, security allegedly stepped in.

I haven’t seen a picture of this Bob Moore guy, but his use of the word “baby” in a sentence like this indicates to me he’s approximately 40-years old. If he had said something like, “If you feel froggy, LeBron, than leap,” I’d have argued he was 50.

Nevertheless, chances are this exchange did happen as Mr. Moore says it did since an American institution like NBC reported it. LeBron probably also responded the way he did too, because I’m sure he’s right about that being the only reason Moore would actually bark at him from that close a distance. Well, that and getting his name on the local news too probably doesn’t hurt.
