Even with Durant and Westbrook injuries, the Thunder are holding their own

When Kevin Durant broke his foot during the preseason and it was announced he was going to miss 6-8 weeks, the Oklahoma City Thunder immediately went from a title contender to a decent Western Conference playoff team until his return. That put all the scoring responsibility on Russell Westbrook‘s capable shoulders. He became to go-to […]

A shot of Paul Pierce could be exactly what Wizards need

Paul Pierce boldly proclaimed after hitting a big shot in the first game of the Playoffs last year against the Raptors, “This is why they brought me here.” Pierce has never been afraid of the big moment and has always been unafraid to take the big shot. That has been the way he has operated […]

Remember the Warriors’ “Run TMC” made up of Mitch Richmond, Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullin? Of course you do but this new trio may rival them. Mavs’ Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis and Chandler Parsons decided to form “Run DMC” complete with rap video which just oozes with awesomeness. Oh and Dirk raps!

Kemba Walker gets his payday, sets market high

There have been precious few extensions signed before Friday’s deadline for the members of the 2011 Draft Class. Kyrie Irving got his. Nikola Vucevic too. Kenneth Faried as well. That has left many, many other players waiting their turn. This includes Enes Kanter, Tobias Harris and, most notably, Klay Thompson. Part of the problem is no […]

A new year, another chance for the talented Pelicans to break through

In the 2013-14 season, the New Orleans Pelicans won 34 games and finished as the 12th seed in the harsh Western Conference. Looking at that for what it is, you might think the Pelicans do not have much going for them and are likely doomed for the West cellar against. But when you look deeper into […]

Previewing the Spurs’ 2014-15 season

With tomorrow being NBA opening night as well as the Spurs’ ring night and banner raising, Bloguin’s own Project Spurs did a San Antonio Spurs Roundtable to preview the defending champs’ 2014-15 season.

Of course the big question for the Spurs is will the team finally be able to defend a title after four other unsuccessful attempts.

The panel looks at new coaches Ettore Messina and Becky Hammon. What kind of impact will they bring to the Spurs?

NBA GMs love Dwight Howard, James Harden… but not the Rockets

The NBA recently completed its GM survey before the season as it always does and included in it whom the general managers thought were the contenders for the NBA championship and the best player at each position. This is a good gauge of where the movers and shakers in the league believe the season will […]

Hoops Habit thought it would be cool to put out a list of under-25 guys to watch this season. Well, I decided it would be even cooler to make a list of top-10 guys meeting that one specification. There will be some guys you expect to see on this list like Lance Stephenson and Anthony Davis, […]

LeBron James can renew his first rivalry with the Wizards this year. Photo via Getty Images

It costs how much to see a Cavs home game?!?!?

I get it. LeBron James is a huge draw. Add the fact he is returning to the Cavs where it all began for him in the NBA and it should not come to a surprise that the Cavs would hike up home tickets just a tad. Right? Wrong! If you thought ticket prices to see James […]
