Those were Russell Westbrooks 25th and 26th points of the FIRST HALF for the Thunder. Let Westbrook be Westbrook, I guess.

Part 1 to get to overtime: Part 2: To win the game

It was a historic night for the defending NBA champs as the Spurs received their championship rings and raised their fifth championship banner high atop the AT&T Center. It was more touching for the Spurs’ Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker as they got to celebrate another ring night together. Relive that special night […]

The Rockets were trouncing the Lakers. But the score is always 0-0 in Kobe Bryant‘s mind. It is about the game within the game. And even though his Lakers were trailing (and getting beat pretty badly), Bryant was taking no guff. Not even from his former teammate Dwight Howard. Bryant was pressuring Howard on a […]

In the 2013-14 season, the New Orleans Pelicans won 34 games and finished as the 12th seed in the harsh Western Conference. Looking at that for what it is, you might think the Pelicans do not have much going for them and are likely doomed for the West cellar against. But when you look deeper into […]

With tomorrow being NBA opening night as well as the Spurs’ ring night and banner raising, Bloguin’s own Project Spurs did a San Antonio Spurs Roundtable to preview the defending champs’ 2014-15 season.
Of course the big question for the Spurs is will the team finally be able to defend a title after four other unsuccessful attempts.
The panel discussed who is the team’s x-factor? Which team is the biggest threat to the Spurs? Are the Mavs going to be an obstacle for the Spurs? How does rookie Kyle Anderson fit into the team plans?
The panel looks at new coaches Ettore Messina and Becky Hammon. What kind of impact will they bring to the Spurs?

New Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is one intense dude. Not only did he have one insane introductory pep rally with the fans, in a recent preseason game. Steve was shown on the Clippers’ big screen TV where he went red in the face and started to fist pump. Hey at least it beats having a […]

How about this to kick off the 2014-15 NBA regular season then to have the Denver Nuggets parody Taylor Swift’s song “Shake it off.” The video includes Denver’s mascot, “Rocky,” Kenneth Faried with a boombox, Danillo Gallinari kind of sort of dancing to the Denver cheerleaders doing their thing.

Spurs guard Tony Parker may have figured out the easy way to get a foul called in his favor. Here is the formula: simply drive into the lane, flail wildly in the air, yell “hey” and make sure the defender is no where near you. During a preseason game against the Rockets, the point guard […]

The NBA recently completed its GM survey before the season as it always does and included in it whom the general managers thought were the contenders for the NBA championship and the best player at each position. This is a good gauge of where the movers and shakers in the league believe the season will […]

Former NBA baller Josh Childress is playing with the Sydney Kings in Australia and in a recent game, he went and lost his mind and punched a guy to the ground. After being on the receiving end of a clean-hard pick, Josh didn’t take kindly to the defensive move and decided it be best to […]

Hoops Habit thought it would be cool to put out a list of under-25 guys to watch this season. Well, I decided it would be even cooler to make a list of top-10 guys meeting that one specification. There will be some guys you expect to see on this list like Lance Stephenson and Anthony Davis, […]
